FUNCTION.
a.
General. The Pitot and Static Systems Tester is a pneumatic testing system that simulates aircraft
airspeed from 0-400 knots; altitude from -1000 to 35,000 feet; and rate of climb from -6000 to
+6000 feet per minute. Pitot and Static Systems Tester can also be tested for leakage. The
control panel of the Tester contains the three (3) appropriate aircraft instruments: Rate of Climb,
Altimeter, and Airspeed Indicator.
b.
Electrical System: The Tester contains two power cables and one cable adapter to permit operation
from the following power sources:
(a)
28 + 4, -6 volts DC
(b)
115 volts ac ± 10 percent, 50 to 500 cycles, single phase.
(c)
115 volts ac ± 10 percent, 50 to 500 cycles, three phase.
