4.6.2.2 Installation.
WARNING
Do not install CMA with 120 Vac power on. Always work with another person
nearby who is familiar with hazards of electronic equipment and is competent in
administering first aid. Failure to obey this warning could result in death or injury.
a.
Using key, unlock and open rear access door (1).
b.
Route twisted pairs (5) through access hole into CMA.
c.
Connect twisted pairs (5) to Surge Suppressor CCA terminal board (6) and remove tags.
d.
Route RS-485 Cable Assembly (4) through access into CMA and connect RS-485 Cable Assembly (4) to I/O Card
(3) J2. Remove tags.
e.
Route UPS Cable (2) through access into CMA and connect UPS Cable (2) to I/O Card (3) J1. Remove tags.
f.
Plug CMA power cable into receptacle.
g.
Close and lock rear access door (1).
h.
Refer to TM 5-6350-280-10 and power on equipment.
4.6.2.3 Repair.
a.
Unlock and open the rear access door (1) of the CMA.
b.
Remove four screws (7), lock washers (8), and flat washers (9) securing multiple outlet strip mounting plate (10)
to left rear side of CMA.
c.
Remove two nuts, lock washers, and one multiple outlet strip (11).
d.
Install two nuts, lock washers, and one new multiple outlet strip (11) on multiple outlet strip mounting plate (10).
e.
Install four screws (7), lock washers (8), and flat washers (9) to secure multiple outlet strip mounting plate (10).
